The Scottish Poppy Appeal is the fundraising arm of the Earl Haig Fund Scotland, and is the nation's premier ex-service charity. Our offices are located in Edinburgh and Glasgow and our most visible duty is to organise the annual poppy appeal throughout scotland in november. Beyond the appeal our staff ensure that ex-service men, women and their dependants in need, have their circumstances aurately assessed and are given the care and assistance that the people of scotland would wish them to have. We fund the Lady Haig's poppy factory to employ disabled ex-servicemen to make poppies and wreaths for the people of scotland at remembrance time. We run a residential care home in both glasgow and edinburgh where ex-servicemen may spend the twilight of their lives in comfort and we also give assistance to other ex-service charities which provide care beyond our capability.
