Armed Services:Ex Services UK Charity :: Scottish Veterans Residences

Scottish Veterans Residences Registered charity SC015260
Scottish Veterans’ Residences (SVR) is a small national charity founded in 1910. Over the last 97 years SVR has helped over 60,000 ex-Service men and women who have found themselves in times of need. Our work has continued through two World Wars and many modern day conflicts and today over 300 veterans receive help from SVR each year.
SVR provides supported independent living for ex-Service personnel and their spouses, of all ages, who find themselves homeless or in times of need. Whitefoord House in the Canongate, Edinburgh and Rosendael in Broughty Ferry, Dundee provide single fully furnished en-suite room, full board is supplied and a laundry service is available. The residents enjoy social areas for entertaining guests, a games area, a bowling green and a cafe/shop. Both residences are set in beautiful gardens and are in central locations with shops, cafes, bars and local amenities all close at hand. SVR believes that every veteran in their residences deserves the highest standard of support, accommodation and understanding that we can provide. Emotional, practical and welfare advice and support is available when required enabling the residents to live with dignity and privacy and as independently as their circumstances will allow.
