Cancerbacup provides information, practical advice and emotional support for anyone affected by cancer. Cancer information nurse specialists staff our freephone cancer information helpline. In the year 2000 we expect to respond to 50,000 enquiries. Cancerbacup publishes 65 booklets covering various types of Cancer, treatments and the practical aspects of living with Cancer. An advisory board of over 100 Cancer specialists regularly updates these so that the most up to date information and treatment options are included. The booklets are available free of charge to Cancer patients, their families, carers and friends. We have begun a programme of opening local centres to offer our services on a face to face level.
